Music and Cultures… I think
Hey peoples! So, this is My last blog post (I do not know how to feel about it, like actually… this has been sorta fun) and we had to find music on two continents. Well not knowing where to go, I may as well hit Russia because, why not? And secondly Brazil because I love Samba and definitely love Reggae music. It’s such a vibe and you are about to see why. So, lets dive in, shall we? Welcome to Russia! In Russia, Traditionally I couldn’t find much on the musical landscape after a first couple searches besides some classical music by the “Mighty Handful” and while that’s great, there is more music in the world besides classical. Well after some intensive searching and contemplation of changing my area that I was searching in, I ran across Kalinka. Kalinka is a Russian Folk music genre started by composer Ivan Larionov.
